1. About ShortMyURL

ShortMyURL.org (“ShortMyURL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides URL-shortening and related services, including short links, QR codes, custom aliases, link analytics, user accounts, and API access.

We may add, remove, or change features from time to time as the Service evolves.

2. Using ShortMyURL

You may use ShortMyURL for legitimate purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

You agree that you will not use ShortMyURL to:

• Create links to illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful content.
• Distribute malware, viruses, spyware, or other malicious software.
• Conduct phishing, scams, impersonation, or other deceptive activities.

Bottom line: Short links are meant to make sharing easier — not to make shady behavior harder to detect.

3. Your Links, Your Responsibility

You are responsible for the URLs you submit to ShortMyURL and the content available at those destinations.

ShortMyURL does not control, own, or endorse the websites and content behind user-generated links.

Creating a shortened URL does not give you ownership of the destination website, its content, or any third-party intellectual property.

You are also responsible for making sure your use of ShortMyURL complies with applicable laws and the rules of any platform where you share your links.

4. Short Links May Be Disabled

We reserve the right to investigate, restrict, disable, redirect, or remove shortened URLs that we reasonably believe:

• Violate these Terms.
• Are being used for illegal or abusive activity.
• Create security, privacy, or operational risks.
• Generate spam or malicious traffic.
• Abuse our systems or resources.
• Violate the rights of others.

We may take action without prior notice when reasonably necessary to protect ShortMyURL, our users, or third parties.

We don't promise that every shortened URL will remain active forever.

5. Custom Aliases

Some ShortMyURL features may allow you to create custom aliases.

Custom aliases are subject to availability and may not be unique forever. We reserve the right to reject, modify, reclaim, or disable an alias if it:

• Impersonates another person, brand, or organization.
• Is misleading, abusive, offensive, or unlawful.

QR codes are generated for convenience. We do not guarantee that every QR code will remain functional if the associated short link is disabled, deleted, modified, or otherwise unavailable.

10. Intellectual Property

The ShortMyURL service, including its software, design, branding, logos, interface, and original content, is owned by or licensed to ShortMyURL and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from our Service unless permitted by law or with our written permission.
